- I've been thinking about the future of db...
-
- Since its first release, db has been a FreeWare product. But to be able to
- spend time continuing developing db, I'm considering making the next big
- release ShareWare. (I hope YOU are also happy about this as an alternative
- could be no more versions at all.) Going the commercial way doesn't seem
- right either. It would simply be too expensive.
-
- But going ShareWare won't work if only a few people register. I need to
- know how interested YOU are...
-
- This is the way:
- Tell me if you are interested in paying a ShareWare fee for a new, better
- db by sending me a postcard and you will only pay half the ShareWare fee,
- when, OR IF, the ShareWare version of db is released.
-
- My plan is to add a user-friendly GUI (Graphical User Interface) for the
- design of databases in db. (I'm already on the job and I like what I see :-)
-
- That version, finished in 1995, might have some vital feature like "Save"
- removed and released free so you can try it out before you register and
- receive an uncrippled version. (I say _might_ becase I personally dislike
- "crippleware")
-
- Those who've already sent me postcards don't need to send one more.
-
- The address is:

- Sweden
-
- Don't forget to write your name and address/email on the postcard.
-
- The ShareWare fee will be around US $30, which would mean $15 in your case.
- (I reserve the right to change the ShareWare fee, but you will get 1/2 the
- price anyway.) This offer ends on the release date of the ShareWare version.
-
- Note: I don't guarantee that I will complete this new version! It all
- depends on YOU sending postcards to show that you are interested.
-
- Writing and mailing a postcard is about as hard as registering a ShareWare
- product. That's why I use it. You can always give me comments on email,
- but it's the postcard that counts :-)
-
-
- It all depends on you, fellow users!
